What is RollNight?

An event camera. The host puts up a QR code; guests scan it with RollNight on their iPhone, take a set number of shots in the host’s look, and see everyone’s photos together when the door opens.

Where can we use it?

Anywhere guests gather around one occasion: weddings, birthdays, parties, work nights, reunions and trips, at home, at a venue or outdoors. Guests need an iPhone and RollNight; hosts can run the event from the app or from the web.

Do my guests need an account?

No. They open RollNight, scan your QR code (or type the six characters under it) and step inside. Only hosts sign in, with a code we email them.

Is there an Android app?

Not yet. Leave your email and we’ll tell you when there is.

How many photos can each guest take?

27, unless you choose another number, up to 50. Every guest gets the same number, and the counter shows how many are left.

How many guests can join?

150 to start with. You can raise it while the event is on, up to 1,000.

When do guests see the photos?

When the door opens, at the time you chose when you made the event. Shots upload as they’re taken, but until the door opens only you, the host, can see them.

Who can see the photos?

You, and once the door opens, the guests who joined your event. Nothing is public. A guest’s name, email, note and rating go to you only. The privacy policy has the details.

How long are the photos kept?

Everything from an event is deleted 30 days after its code expires. Guests can save the photos they want to their own phone before then, and you can save your picks.

What if the signal is bad?

Each shot is saved on the phone first and keeps trying to upload until it gets through. Closing the app doesn’t lose it.

What if someone shares something they shouldn’t?

Any guest can report a photo or block another guest from the photo’s menu, and you can hide or delete any photo. RollNight’s terms say what isn’t allowed.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. RollNight is free, with nothing to buy in the app.

How do I host an event?

Make one in the app (tap Host) or on the web, then share its link or print its QR card for the tables.
